DMGRGE. The story behind it.

DMGRGE. The story behind it.

Hi, my name is Dannish and I am the founder of DMGRGE.

What is DMGRGE you may ask? Well DMGRGE is the creative platform I have always thought of creating but always kept on the back burner. I will be using this as a medium to blurt out my thoughts and somewhat creative ideas (atleast in my head) on to 'paper'.

We live in a time where attention spans are at an all time low due to doom scrolling and short-form content, creative thinking has been outsourced to the 100th million AI tool, and genuine analogue long-form content is hard to come across. I say this because I find myself caught in this dilemma. I work a 9-5 and the shift out of uni has been quite drastic as I find myself with so much more free time which I hate wasting. So, in order to make my 5-9 a bit more productive and enjoyable, I was looking for things to do, but I wanted to do something which had purpose, and enabled me to build something genuine. Hence why, I decided to restructure DMGRGE as a creative platform, rather than just another car page.

This decision was influenced by a quote I heard from Zedan Mutlu's channel. "Dont sell the haircut, sell the barber". I don't know why but this is one quote out of many that has stuck with me and truly highlights the importance of personal branding. At the end of the day there will always be someone doing a better haircut than you (or in my case, have a better car than me), but how do I attract and build a genuine audience. Sell the barber.

Ok, enough motivation talk. Continuing on, my goal with this platform is to not use AI to write any of my posts as I aspire to maintain authenticity and real character as possible, so pardon any grammatical errors :)

Now, I dont want this to be just another blog page that does reviews of products, and just provide random links to amazon listings just to make a quick buck through affiiliate marketing. I want this to be a page where this essentially becomes a bit of a written journal on things related to cars, living with them, stories around them, the modifications I do to my cars and much more. Plus, it wont be just cars I talk about, I personally have way too many hobbies, and love talking about them. This can be related to lifestyle, art, culture, fashion, and much more!

There may be some links that I may add on products that I genuinely like and may even write a review on them, so that if anyone else wants to get the same, they can click the link and hence that will become my e-commerce venture on affiliate marketing. Then I am going to start selling courses and forget all of my day ones.

Anyways, back to the topic. DMGRGE.

I want this platform to be something people can truly enjoy and get some entertainment, and the occasional knowledge out of. Something that after a long day, you can indulge in to close your night out with, like those Nightride docuseries videos. Or, you can begin your day with reading these journals with the sun shining on a sunday morning, or anywhere.

My goal with this platform is to evolve into films as well. I have always wanted to shoot docuseries type videos about people's stories with their cars and I believe having a bit of storytelling with a bit of cinematic car shots is peak YouTube. Although I do not currently possess the skill to engage in that activity, however, I will learn.

I do not see many videos like that, at least in Australia, yet we have some of the craziest cars and people with even more intriguing stories. The motto I am kind of going with is 'Cool cars, Cooler stories'. Tacky? Maybe. But it resonates with me.

So yeah, I think this is where I start from, and maybe the first couple of posts may have some teething issues, you may like them, or maybe you won't. I would love to hear the feedback.

If you read this far, I truly appreciate it and genuinely hope you enjoyed this journal of mine and hope to have to along with me on this new journey!
