Hello all,
I am back and this time I bought a new car, again! However, I will not sell this one. To be honest my goal was to keep buying and selling cars until I can flip my way to an S15. However, me and the broski were having a chat and he made me realise that I be thinking too much about the next step, or what I can achieve in the future and would overlook the current state of time. I wouldn’t truly be living in the present. That’s when it kind of hit me. I know eventually I will buy an S15, but until then I just gotta enjoy life man.
So that’s when I thought, what can I buy that won’t break the bank but also be fun and also something that I can be pretty content and happy with and is something I want so I don’t sell it after a year. That’s when I knew it was the r31 skyline. So then I went to marketplace, but this time with a determined purpose, not just to low ball people. There wasn’t many on the market, and the ones that were, were a bit clapped. That is when I resorted to my unpatched tactic. The same way I came across my M3. I joined a r31 Facebook group. I’m telling youse, it is THE way.
So anyways, I put a post up and honestly got sent some gems. But there was one that tickled my heart. This guy sent me some details and it was proper grandpa spec, but he did a full resto on it. I’m talking new arms, bushes, bolts, everything. AND, he did a +T conversion on it with an (allegedly) external gate and screamer. Honestly, one of my conditions for the next car I buy was to be something that boogies and is absolutely rowdy. Eventually my plan for the r31 was to turbo it and have a screamer on it. However this one seemed to have it all done already.

So then we had a bit of back and forth and worked out a killer price for the car it was. I was pre much sold on it and took a road trip to go have a look at it. Essentially I was going to buy it, unless there something severely wrong with it. Had a look at the car and everything seemed alright and then we went on a test drive. For some reason the throttle pedal is a rock (apparently something to do with reversing the throttle cable assembly to accommodate the turbo or something). Anyways, we drove down a bit and I’m checking all the gears etc etc. And then the owner says to give it some. So I give it and I hear it. The screamer. I was sold. I legit turned to the seller and am like yeah I’m buying it ahahaha.

And that was it, paid him my hard earned cash and drove that sucker home. She was cruising so good and anytime I got on it the screamer would just make my heart happy. So now all now that is left is to get it on club reg so I can start enjoying it on the weekends. I hope to do that asap.

You may be wondering what my plans are for this car. It’s simple, I want it to be slammed, on nice small wheels and just learn to drift in it. Not worry too much about breaking parts and all, just truly entering into the drifting scene I have been wanting to since forever.
Dw I’ll get an S15 eventually, but I need to make a little bit more smarter decisions as per my financial advisor. (I told him about my skyline purchase after I bought it. He was not a very happy camper but I think once I take him for a spin in it, he’ll be cheesing)
